Capital Swipe collects no personal data. It is a fully offline game. It has no user accounts, no ads, no analytics, and no third-party tracking. Nothing you do in the game is ever sent to us or to anyone else. It all stays on your device. This policy explains that in plain language.
Who we are
Capital Swipe is a flag-and-capitals quiz game developed and published by Cristian Milea, an independent developer based in Romania. In this policy, “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Cristian Milea, developer of Capital Swipe. If you have any questions, you can reach us at [email protected].
Information we collect
None. Capital Swipe does not collect, store on any server, or transmit any personal information. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, photos, or any account login. We do not know who you are, and we have no way of identifying you.
The game does save your progress (such as your scores, high scores, unlocked countries, diamonds, streaks, and settings), but this information is stored only locally on your device. It never leaves your phone or tablet, we cannot see it, and it is not linked to any identity. If you uninstall the app, this local data is removed with it.
How the game works offline
Capital Swipe runs entirely on your device. All of its content (countries, flags, and capitals) is built into the app when you install it. The game does not require an internet connection to play and does not send game data over the internet. Because there is no backend server and no account system, there is simply nothing for us to collect.
Optionally, the app can show you a local daily reminder notification to nudge you to keep your streak going. If you allow notifications, these reminders are scheduled and shown entirely by your device. We do not use push servers or device tokens, and no information is sent to us or to anyone else. You can turn these reminders off at any time in your device settings, and the game works fully without them.
Third parties
There are none. Capital Swipe contains no advertising networks, no analytics or measurement tools, no crash-reporting services, no social media SDKs, and no other third-party trackers. We do not share, sell, or disclose any data, because we do not collect any in the first place.
Children's privacy
Capital Swipe is family-friendly and suitable for players of all ages, including children. We have designed it with a simple, privacy-first approach: because the game collects no personal information from anyone, it collects no personal information from children either.
This means the game does not knowingly collect, use, or disclose any personal information from children, and it contains no behavioral advertising and no data sharing. In line with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the EU General Data Protection Regulation as it applies to children (GDPR-K), the UK Age Appropriate Design Code (Children's Code), and similar age-appropriate design standards, there is no children's data to collect, retain, or delete. Since no personal information is collected, there is no data retention period, and no parental consent is required; there is simply nothing being gathered.
Parents and guardians can let children play with confidence: the game is self-contained, works offline, shows no ads, and sends no information anywhere.
App store privacy labels
This policy is consistent with the privacy information shown on the app stores. On Apple's App Store, Capital Swipe is listed as “Data Not Collected.” On Google Play, its Data Safety section reflects that no data is collected or shared, in keeping with Google Play's Families policy requirements for apps directed to a child audience.
Data security
Because your game data stays on your own device and is never transmitted to us, it is protected by your device's own security. There is no online account to be breached and no server holding your information.
Your privacy rights (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA and others)
Privacy laws such as the EU/UK GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) give people rights over their personal data, for example, the right to access, correct, or delete it, and the right not to have it sold or shared.
Because Capital Swipe collects no personal data, there is no personal information for us to provide, correct, delete, or transfer, and we have no personal data to sell or share. We do not sell or share any personal information. You remain fully in control of the local game data on your device: you can reset your progress within the game or remove all of it at any time by uninstalling the app.
International users
Capital Swipe is available worldwide. Because no data is collected or transferred off your device, there are no international data transfers to worry about, wherever you play from.
Purchases
The current version of Capital Swipe is free and contains no in-app purchases. If optional in-app purchases are added in a future update, any payment would be handled directly by the Apple App Store or Google Play (not by us), and we would still not receive your payment details or other personal information. This policy would be updated before any such feature is introduced.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change how the app handles data, we will update this policy and revise the “Last updated” date above. If a future change were to involve collecting any data, we would explain it clearly here before it takes effect.
